Preproduction, Design and Engineering
 Pre-production and Design is usually 14 to 20 percent of a
project and on average will take 6 to 8 weeks of project
time. After receiving the concept from a customer and
fully understanding the customer's specifications and
needs this department gets to work.
Reading data from all file formats (IGS, PRT, SAT, X-T,
SolidWorks 2000, STEP, DWG, DXF, CAD-L) solid modelling
and wire-frame data is produced and with the new technology
of SLA (stero-lithography), the department can do all the
pre-design that is needed for a mold before machining the
first piece.
The greater part of the PPI knowledge base resides in this
department. Over two decades of experience with all types
of molds and production processes will allow you to reduce
your development costs. You may not have come across the
pitfalls of molding but PPI has and they have overcome them
