Protoplast Visits K-Show in Dusseldorf, Germany
Protoplast ‘s recent visit to the K-Show in Dusseldorf, Germany, revealed many exciting and new technologies that will soon be coming our way to North America. Many contacts were made and renewed with colleagues in this global industry, reminding us that despite the long journey from home, the Plastics Industry remains relatively small and well connected. It was reassuring to see tremendous signs of growth and economic strength, particularly from our German counterparts and machinery suppliers. Protoplast enjoyed 3 jam packed days at the Show before heading off to a customer visit in Hungary.
K-Show has been and still is the biggest international trade fair for plastics and rubber, and takes place once every three years. The leading raw material producers, processing companies and machinery manufacturers offer an overview of the latest technical developments, procedures and techniques, of current construction methods and future trends. More than 220,000 trade visitors from 100 countries attended the last staging of K in 2010. The plastics industry is one of the most innovative segments of the world economy and plastics are seen as the material of the 21st century.
